Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, utilizing the nursing process and established standards of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being by prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and supervising work assignments.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, including planning, measuring, monitoring, assessing, and improving patient care processes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
Requirements
  • 1 year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or successful completion of a KP L&D course within the last 12 months.
  • Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate within 12 months of hire.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, and float to other units as needed.
  • Willingness to work every other weekend.
