Role Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Firmware Developer to spearhead our firmware division. This role is pivotal in the design, enhancement, and upkeep of our firmware, which is integral to our fleet management solutions. If you possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in C++ and C#, embedded Linux, and a commitment to producing high-quality, scalable, and stable firmware, we would like to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the firmware development team, offering direction and mentorship to junior members.
  • Design, enhance, and maintain firmware utilizing C++ and C#.
  • Proactively identify and implement firmware improvements.
  • Manage version control and establish robust CI/CD pipelines and testing protocols.
  • Engage extensively with CAN bus and serial interfaces.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth integration of firmware with other system components.
  • Stay informed about the latest technologies and best practices in firmware development to continually enhance product quality and performance.
  • Gain practical experience and work on CAN bus development in real-world scenarios.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in firmware development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in C++ and C#.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with embedded Linux.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a background in managing and mentoring development teams.
  • In-depth experience and knowledge of CAN bus and serial interfaces.
  • A proactive mindset towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Located in the US (preferably on the East Coast) and open to travel.
