About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team at the Bucks County Planning Commission. As a Senior Planner, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing housing initiatives that support the county's comprehensive plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and guide the implementation of housing plans and strategies that align with the county's comprehensive plan.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Housing and Community Development, to ensure effective housing planning and development.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify housing needs and trends in the county.
  • Supervise and assist in preparing technical advice and reports related to comprehensive plans, zoning ordinances, and subdivision regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to stakeholders, including the public.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, regional, state, and federal agencies to address housing planning issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or other Directors within the Department.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Planning or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in housing planning related field.
  • AICP licensure preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
