Key Responsibilities:


The Radiologic Technologist/CT Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing Diagnostic Radiographic, CT scans, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound, or specialized procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring their imaging needs are met effectively. Participation in Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities is essential. The technologist may oversee the radiology area and/or staff in the absence of management. Additionally, maintaining inventory and supplies for the department is required.

The Radiologic Technologist/CT Imaging Specialist will also manage scheduling for designated sub-departments and ensure the upkeep of supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities include processing and transmitting images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).



Qualifications:
• Education and Experience

• Valid licensure and fluoroscopy permit as mandated by state regulations.

• As of July 1, 2017, appropriate national certifications in two modalities are required.

• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHA).

• Familiarity with state and federal regulations is essential.

• A minimum of one year of experience in Acute Clinical Radiography is preferred.

• Graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

• Proficient computer skills are necessary.
