Role

We are in the process of developing a comprehensive platform aimed at facilitating cyber development initiatives and the eventual coordination and orchestration of cyber missions. This project will concentrate on prototyping solutions that align with the long-term vision of an ideal governmental architecture. In this role, you will:
  • Direct the design and conceptualization of system architecture
  • Facilitate technical discussions and design meetings
  • Collaborate with clients and external partners to comprehend objectives and methodologies
  • Investigate and assess existing capabilities, tools, and libraries that can be utilized to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Break down intricate problems into clear and actionable solutions
  • Create and maintain a prioritized backlog of high-level features
  • Exhibit thought leadership and strategic insight in collaboration with delivery and product teams;
  • Lead Architecture Review Boards and other discussions related to products, platforms, and architecture;
  • Present deliverables and strategies to client leadership and other stakeholders
  • Establish technical standards and guidelines for a large team of developers.
While you will hold primary responsibility for making priority decisions, architectural plans, and ensuring effective team execution, you will not work in isolation. You will receive support from our CTO, a team of technical leads, fellow engineers, and an engaged client. You will also be encouraged to explore the technology landscape to gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique technical components involved.

Additionally, you are expected to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for client demonstrations and discussions. Therefore, you should be well-versed in the intricacies of the entire product being developed. You must possess the capability to engage in high-level discussions and access secure IT systems when necessary. Tasks that do not require on-site presence can be performed remotely; this position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Over 10 years of experience in designing and developing systems and/or software solutions
  • Must hold a current active TOP SECRET security clearance and be eligible for SCI status
  • Experience leading a team of at least 10 engineers
  • Ability to engage with clients and external partners to derive priorities from broad requirements
  • Quick learner with a strong desire to understand technologies and solutions
  • Experience in developing solutions with established CI/CD processes, including: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), peer reviews, automated integration testing, fully automated deployments, and update and migration strategies
  • Experience managing both cloud and on-premise infrastructure, application deployment, and security methodologies
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and popular tools within the CNCF ecosystem
  • Demonstrated expertise with at least one cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Computer Network Operations (CNO) or related concepts
