Key Responsibilities

• Convert design data into specific placing drawings using MicroStation and rebar specific software.
• Determine the quantity, size, length, and bending shapes of bars from instructions and data provided by design drawings and project details.
• Prepare detailed placing drawings for ironworkers at the job site to install the reinforcing bars within the framework.
• Establish communication as necessary with contractor, architect, or engineer to obtain missing information pertinent to the project.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret contract documents.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics, algebra, and geometry.
• Ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, Autodesk, or Bentley CAD platforms.
• Basic knowledge of rebar types, shapes, size, and applications preferred.
