We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neurologist to join our team at the Huntington VA Medical Center. As a member of our Neurology department, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care to our nation's veterans.
Responsibilities:- Provide neurologic evaluation and treatment of veterans on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
- Diagnose and manage patients suffering from a variety of neurological disorders, such as headache disorders, seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, or Alzheimer's disease.
- Interpret EEGs, Evoked Potential Studies, and perform EMGs.
- Perform administrative components of patient care management, including timely documentation of progress notes, orders, and consultation findings in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in and/or manage all aspects of a general Neurology program, including clinical, administrative, academic, and research components.
- Manage patient workload within available staffing, which may include nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
- Participate in the expanded use of clinical video telehealth/electronic consultation to improve access to Neurology care.
- Excellent compensation package, including a great base salary, annual performance pay, biennial market pay raises, and annual cost of living pay raises.
- Sign-on incentive available for highly qualified applicants.
- Student Loan Forgiveness (EDRP) program, offering up to $200,000 in student loan forgiveness based on work commitment.
