Job Overview

As a Diesel Technician at Love's Travel Stops, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues with diesel engines, including wheel end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, air conditioning, and engine components. You'll also assist customers with roadside services, provide preventative maintenance services, and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engine issues, including wheel end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
  • Assist customers with roadside services, including tire changes, fuel delivery, and other emergency repairs.
  • Provide preventative maintenance services to ensure the longevity and efficiency of diesel engines.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel systems, electrical systems, and cooling systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
