Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' occupational therapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, and activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational team members to integrate therapy goals into students' academic and functional routines.
  • Travel between multiple school sites to deliver therapy services, ensuring consistency and continuity of care for all students.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage caseload across multiple school sites.
