About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled Insite Chemical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our safety-conscious team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of Bulk Consolidation and assisting with waste disposal, testing water, spills, and various other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Conduct chemical pickups throughout customer facilities as directed.
  • Perform chemical bulking/consolidation as required.
  • Ensure work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Participate in spill response on customer sites as needed.
  • Attend all compliance and safety update meetings.
  • Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Operate forklifts in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
Requirements
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and essential experience gained on other jobs.
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
  • Valid driver's license and other requirements of company's driving policy required when driving company vehicles or using personal vehicles on company business.
  • OSHA certification may be required for this job.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to take and follow direction.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to interface with customers.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
