Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Harvey, Illinois. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise:
  •     Operate CT scanners with precision and accuracy, ensuring that images meet the highest standards.
  •     Familiarize yourself with cross-sectional anatomy and recognize abnormal/normal pathologies.
  •     Demonstrate competence in the operation of equipment and report any issues promptly.
  •     Rotate shifts when necessary and participate in on-call rotations as required.
  • Patient Care:
  •     Provide patient comfort and safety during procedures, responding to their needs and concerns.
  •     Coordinate multiple exams between CT and other departments efficiently.
  •     Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant protocols.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  •     Accurately document CQI/QA and ACR statistics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  •     Participate in the proper stocking of rooms, checking, and ordering of supplies.
  •     Understand and operate RadNet and CareConnection systems.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience:
  •     1 year of experience in radiology technology, with a graduate degree from an approved program.
  •     Certification in CT and proficiency with CT keyboard.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  •     Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  •     Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  •     Familiarity with CT equipment and strong problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  •     Weekend and holiday call-ins may be required to accommodate patient and staff needs.
  •     Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Benefits include:
