Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder and/or Fitter to join our team at SteelFab Inc in Durant, OK. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various equipment to assemble mechanical structures or parts with high precision.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed when working with potentially hazardous equipment.
  • Utilize a variety of welding techniques and procedures, including flux core welding.
  • Employ electrical and manual tools, such as saws, squares, and calipers, to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Read and interpret technical documents and drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to relative safety standards and wearing protective gear as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet production schedules and satisfy internal customer needs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Hold a professional certification, such as an AWS welding certificate, as a plus.
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds over shoulder height occasionally.
  • Communicate effectively in English to follow basic instructions.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support production schedules.
