Wet Chemistry Laboratory Technician

Position Summary:
- Assist in the analysis of wet chemistry samples
- Prepare samples for wet chemistry testing
- Operate and ensure the upkeep of laboratory instruments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analyses on wet chemistry samples
- Accurately weigh and measure samples
- Prepare minerals for feed and forage testing
- Safely dispose of chemical waste
- Manage laboratory inventory
Additional Duties:
- Ensure a safe laboratory environment
- Stay informed on current laboratory techniques
- Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Report any equipment malfunctions
- Support other tasks as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational and punctuality skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Basic proficiency in computer usage
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Strong time management capabilities
Equipment Proficiency:
- Personal computers
- Balances
- General laboratory equipment
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred
Work Environment:
- Laboratory setting with moderate noise levels
- Standard work hours from Monday to Friday
- Use of personal protective equipment is required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and maintain hearing and vision capabilities.
