Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Provide expert guidance on the Management of Change processes related to electrical and instrumentation activities.
- Support capital projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial design to successful startup.
- Identify and collaborate with preferred equipment manufacturers and industry specialists.
- Conduct inspections of newly installed and repaired electrical and instrumentation equipment, recommending spare parts as necessary.
- Offer technical support to technicians and contractors in the field.
- Advise on advancements in electrical and instrumentation technology, ensuring compliance with plant standards and updating technical drawings as needed.
- Develop and enforce reliability and maintenance protocols for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Create Reliability Control Plans for critical systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Analyze equipment failures, propose corrective measures, and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) initiatives.
- Engage in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to enhance system reliability.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve performance issues in electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Contribute to the implementation of safety programs and Process Safety Management initiatives.
- Participate actively in the company's operational frameworks.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering with a focus on instrumentation and controls.
- Experience in maintenance and reliability engineering within chemical or petrochemical environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical design, selection, and repair methodologies.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and studies related to Fault Current, Coordination, and Arc Flash.
- Proficient in SAP work management systems and knowledgeable about the National Electric Code.
- Awareness of safety protocols in hazardous environments.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills to address technical challenges and devise effective solutions.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for process enhancement.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to adapt to various working conditions and perform physical tasks in an industrial setting.
