Coverage Responsibilities Include:

  • Teleradiology services
  • Tele Interventional Radiology
  • Pediatric care provided by Family Medicine physicians
  • Adult psychiatric unit with 25 beds
  • Anesthesia managed by a CRNA team
  • 24/7 Tele-Intensivist support
  • Ultrasound services
  • General Hospitalist duties
  • General Surgery
  • Podiatry services
  • Gastroenterology
  • Cardiology (including diagnostic and interventional procedures)
  • 24/7 Tele Neurology services
  • Neurology consultations
  • Accredited Chest Pain Center
  • Certified Primary Stroke Center

Program Structure and Work Schedule

  • The Hospitalist Medicine program averages 40-50 patient encounters daily
  • 7 days on, 7 days off work schedule
  • 12-hour shifts for physicians (totaling 48 hours per week)
  • 12-hour shifts for APPs (totaling 12 hours per day)

Candidate Qualifications

  • Possession of an active New Mexico medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Must be a PA, FNP, or ANP with board eligibility or certification
