Data Center Construction Project Manager

DataX Connect is a leading partner in construction management and software services, specializing in telecommunications, finance, utilities, and enterprise sectors nationwide. This Owners rep have recently immersed themselves in the data center market and are looking for a Construction Project Manager to support their growth in the Mission Critical space.

Role Overview

As a Construction Project Manager in our Network Data Center division, you will represent the client, managing vendors, contractors, and teams to ensure seamless project execution. You'll tackle complex, cutting-edge data center projects while maintaining a zero-outage goal and impeccable site conditions.

  • Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Manage pre-construction, QA/QC, construction administration, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Ensure compliance with scope of work and safety standards.
  • Handle data center expansions, power systems, HVAC installations, and building control systems.
  • Serve as the main liaison between customers and inspectors, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Document progress, conduct weekly meetings, and provide detailed monthly status updates.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in building design, construction, or operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the data center industry - colocation or hyperscale data centers.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA guidelines, building architecture, and MEP construction.
  • Experience with commissioning, MOP processes, and working with critical systems like UPS, cooling towers, and generators.
  • Willingness to travel 10% to the project site.
