Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our team in an administrative role. This part-time position will involve working closely with the Division Chief/Faculty to oversee clinical and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patients presenting for E&M visits and non-invasive procedures, documenting patient charts.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures for Cardiology Inpatient Services, and Preventive Cardiology.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up care collaboratively with physicians.
  • Respond to phone inquiries, review lab results, liaise with outside pharmacies.
  • Monitor indicators in the Cardiology Inpatient Services and Preventive Cardiology Service for the Quality Improvement Program.
  • Present trends and opportunities for improvement at the quarterly PI meeting.
  • Provide continuous in-service to staff of all new hospital-wide and division-specific policies and procedures/guidelines.
  • Collect data for monthly statistical reporting.
  • Provide divisional/unit orientation to all new clinical staff.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • New York State Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner Licensure.
  • New York State certification as a Nurse Practitioner in specialty area.
  • Master of Science Degree in Nursing.
  • IV Certified Cardiac and Critical Care experience.
  • ACLS/BLS certified.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with 2+ years post-licensure clinical nursing experience and 2-years of supervisory experience are preferred.

Work Schedule and Salary

This part-time position offers a variable schedule with commensurate pay based on experience and qualifications. The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on the selected candidate's background and qualifications.
