Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Lead Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our team in an administrative role. This part-time position will involve working closely with the Division Chief/Faculty to oversee clinical and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities- Triage patients presenting for E&M visits and non-invasive procedures, documenting patient charts.
- Develop and update policies and procedures for Cardiology Inpatient Services, and Preventive Cardiology.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care collaboratively with physicians.
- Respond to phone inquiries, review lab results, liaise with outside pharmacies.
- Monitor indicators in the Cardiology Inpatient Services and Preventive Cardiology Service for the Quality Improvement Program.
- Present trends and opportunities for improvement at the quarterly PI meeting.
- Provide continuous in-service to staff of all new hospital-wide and division-specific policies and procedures/guidelines.
- Collect data for monthly statistical reporting.
- Provide divisional/unit orientation to all new clinical staff.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- New York State Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner Licensure.
- New York State certification as a Nurse Practitioner in specialty area.
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing.
- IV Certified Cardiac and Critical Care experience.
- ACLS/BLS certified.
Candidates with 2+ years post-licensure clinical nursing experience and 2-years of supervisory experience are preferred.
Work Schedule and SalaryThis part-time position offers a variable schedule with commensurate pay based on experience and qualifications. The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on the selected candidate's background and qualifications.
