Job Description

Aerzen USA Corporation is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites.
  • Represent Aerzen in a professional and courteous manner, following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog, and digital).
  • Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections.
  • Analyze and correct communication issues, properly addressing TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
  • Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products, disassemble, assess damage, and evaluate failures on machines.
  • Diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions.
  • Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations, and service options.
  • Evaluate customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels.
  • Assist engineering in plant design, modifications, and hazard analysis.
  • Plan and schedule travel to best meet customer requirements, service schedule requirements, and time efficiency.
  • Complete job-related service reports, expense reports, and forms in a timely basis.

Requirements:

  • An Associate's Degree in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
  • 1-4 years of Field Service Experience with rotary equipment such as compressors, pumps, or similar.
  • Electrical experience, preferably working with VFDs and controls.
  • Windows, Microsoft Office, and Sales Force Internet Abilities.
  • TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred.
