Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at ECHN. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine their functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to improve or restore function.
  • Conduct and modify evaluations based on patient symptoms, activity level, and medical status to establish measurable goals.
  • Administer physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques to relieve pain and attain established goals.
  • Utilize effective techniques to assist in normalizing motor activity and learning.
  • Document patient care in accordance with insurance guidelines and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary approaches for in-service and community education, and contribute to the clinical education of affiliating students.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy with a minimum of a B.S.
  • Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license.
  • Must be a Certified Hand Therapist.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Personal computer skills and proficiency in Windows-based programs.
  • Basic skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel are desirable but not required.
  • Access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites.
