Job Summary

Orion Security Solutions is seeking a skilled technical security professional to join our team as a Service Technician. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers, ensuring their security systems are functioning optimally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer security systems, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with the service coordinator to ensure seamless job dispatch and documentation.
  • Maintain open communication with customers to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and report any incidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of Orion Security Solutions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of relevant low voltage and/or security field experience, including supervisory roles, access control, video, and intrusion detection system installation, system design, networking, and/or other low voltage system and component installation.
  • Desired skills include proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and plans, excellent communication skills, proficiency with G Suite applications and Microsoft Office programs, programming and operational proficiency with various video surveillance, access control, and other security systems, effective organizational skills, professional conflict resolution skills, working knowledge of cable infrastructure, and other skills that support the responsibilities of this position.
Travel and Physical Requirements

Travel required. Regularly required to run, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. Standing 95% of each scheduled shift. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Must be able to push and pull 75 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
