Position Overview:
The Electromechanical Assembler will be responsible for:
  • Assembling wires, cables, harnesses, and power supplies utilizing soldering tools, hand tools, and bench equipment.
  • Constructing electronic chassis, laser assemblies, and intricate electro-mechanical devices.
  • Performing precise fitting and alignment on opto-mechanical sub-assemblies and mainframes.
  • Testing and calibrating both sub-assemblies and finished products.
  • Interpreting parts lists, drawings, wiring diagrams, and methods sheets.
  • Adhering to predetermined standard production rates.
  • Following both written and verbal instructions meticulously.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of completed work.
  • Managing material control within assigned work orders.
  • Initiating necessary changes and corrections to documentation and procedures.
  • Keeping the work area and equipment organized and tidy.
  • Observing prescribed safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operating with minimal supervision according to the build schedule.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • 2-4 years of experience in electronic, mechanical, or optical assembly.
  • The ability to suggest modifications to methods sheets, procedures, and specifications.
  • Skills to learn troubleshooting techniques for optical-mechanical assemblies.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly diagrams.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands for this role include:
  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and using hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
