The University of Michigan is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Adult Hospitals. This role offers a unique opportunity to rotate through various roles and locations, delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care and supporting excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Rotating through service-based clinical pharmacist (de-centralized) and medication distribution (centralized) roles
- Delivering pharmaceutical care, including drug distribution, order verification, and clinical inquiry response
- Participating in multidisciplinary patient rounds, reviewing and verifying medication orders, and providing dosage adjustments as needed
- Serving as a preceptor for University of Michigan College of Pharmacy students
- Conducting daily profile reviews and ensuring accurate interpretation and processing of medication orders, labels, and documentation
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current licensure as a registered pharmacist by the State of Michigan Board of Pharmacy
- MICHLMI Controlled Substance License to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan or eligibility to become licensed within 60 days of employment start date
- Able to perform a variety of manual dexterity movements, including keyboarding and active participation in codes
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
