Media Assistant

Job Summary:

The Sac and Fox Tribe of Iowa is seeking a highly skilled Media Assistant - Videographer/Producer to join our team. As a key member of our Media Services Department, you will be responsible for assisting the Media Director with the creation of multimedia content, including video and audio productions, social media management, and graphic design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and produce high-quality video and audio content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and live events.
• Operate and maintain video and audio equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
• Design and develop visual elements, such as graphics, titles, and animations, for video and audio productions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies to engage with the community and promote tribal events and programs.
• Collaborate with the Media Director to create and edit multimedia content, including videos, podcasts, and social media posts.
• Provide technical support for live events, including setup, operation, and tear-down of equipment.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the tribe's website and social media presence.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-year degree in Communications, Arts, or related field and 2 years of professional experience in video, film, sound production, audio visual, graphic design, or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in Adobe Software Packages (Premiere Pro, Rush, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or other PC compatible software.
• Knowledgeable and proficient working with computers using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, and email.
• Experience utilizing social media outlets (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
• Experience using Audio/Visual equipment (video camera, camera, microphones, mixer equipment, PA systems, etc.).
• Experience with various multimedia devices (digital camera, lenses, tripods, memory cards, hard drives).
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must be a dependable, team player.

Working Conditions:

The Media Assistant - Videographer/Producer will work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in a studio environment.

Salary:

The annual salary range for this position is $43,784 - $74,568.
