Job Summary

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Cardinal Health, you will play a critical role in driving strategic value and influencing key business decisions. You will be responsible for managing the North America Supply Chain Finance Team, providing analytical and business decision support to senior leaders, and leading cross-functional efforts to enable forward-looking insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business trends and lead the monthly financial close and forecast processes to ensure achievement of key controls and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Distribution Operations Team to analyze financial performance and results, and understand the impact of operational factors.
  • Lead and align financial forecasts and long-range planning processes with business leaders, driving business value through financial and analytical counsel.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting, including variance and financial statement analysis, and communicate a cohesive and concise story around business drivers behind financial data.
  • Create financial models and scenarios as a key input for business planning decisions, including capital deployment, sourcing, product development, marketing strategies, and acquisitions.
  • Manage annual budget processes, incorporating business initiatives, economic trends, and operational effectiveness, and align the budget to business strategies.
  • Perform customer and product profitability analysis, make investment and pricing decisions, and identify opportunities to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and a more favorable mix.
  • Understand market dynamics and competitors, conduct complex analysis, and summarize implications to business, influencing business partners using analytics and business understanding.
  • Identify and execute process improvement opportunities, demonstrating proficiency in technical tools and financial systems.
  • Serve as an objective financial steward with an enterprise perspective, safeguarding the company's assets and ensuring strong controls are in place.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
