We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at DaMar Staffing. As a Preschool Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children aged 2-5 years old.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring a safe and healthy space for children to learn and play.
- Communication and Interactions: Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, staff, parents, and the community, promoting effective communication and respect.
- Lesson Planning: Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, incorporating individualization and assessment to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Record Keeping: Regularly document child progress, adjusting lesson plans as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to facilitate change, communicate openly, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to established health, safety, and sanitation procedures, ensuring a secure environment for children and staff.
- Professional Development: Participate in required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions, staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in infant/toddler care is preferred.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Certifications: CPR certification is preferred.
- Skills: Nurturing skills, ability to implement positive guidance, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Personal Qualities: Strong organizational and communication skills, integrity, and a positive attitude, with a self-starter mentality and ability to adapt to change.
- Compensation: Starting hourly rate of $16.00 to $20.00, with non-group health insurance and benefits offered.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4pm, 8am to 5pm, and 9am to 6pm.
