Overview:
The program is in search of a Niagara Files (NiFi) Systems Engineer to design and sustain NiFi Solutions for the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) TTO, facilitating Dataflow, Transformation, and Normalization within the customer's Enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Implement systems engineering principles throughout the various phases of the systems life cycle: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.
- Engage with the Government regarding technical considerations in Systems Engineering and address associated challenges, issues, or conflicts.
- Collaborate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
- Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables related to one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:
• Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal;
• Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement;
• Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management;
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining Niagara Files Solutions (NiFi Engineering / Flows)
- Familiarity with the customer's dataflow architecture
- Knowledge of monitoring infrastructure health and dataflows
- Proficient in value delivery utilizing Agile methodologies for project management
- Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira) for workflow management
- Capable of leading discussions, addressing inquiries, and articulating solutions based on best practices and sound technical knowledge
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable presenting to senior leadership
- Experience with NiFi System Administration (Linux/Red Hat experience, NiFi installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, etc.)
A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area).
OR
A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
