Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective infection prevention and control strategies to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address infection control issues, and provide education and training to staff on infection prevention best practices.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into infection outbreaks, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of infection control activities, including surveillance data and outbreak investigations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest infection control guidelines and best practices, and apply this knowledge to inform infection prevention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic knowledge of infection control practices, or willingness to attend an infection control education program within six months of assuming the role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
