Regional Maintenance and Operations Specialist

Country View Family Farms is seeking a highly skilled Regional Maintenance and Operations Specialist to join our team at our Hagerstown, Indiana location.



Job Summary

The Regional Maintenance and Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing scheduled repairs and maintenance at farms on a daily basis, initiating seasonal preventative maintenance items, and communicating the need to update process manuals of repairs and maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, welding, and fabrication principles, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.



Responsibilities


  • Scheduled Repairs and Maintenance: Perform scheduled repairs and maintenance at farms on a daily basis to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Initiate seasonal preventative maintenance items to prevent equipment failures and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Process Updates: Communicate the need to update process manuals of repairs and maintenance to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Initial Investigations: Conduct initial investigations for critical failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Troubleshooting: Serve as a resource for troubleshooting facility and repair issues, providing expert guidance and support to farm managers and technicians.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor the step plan for progress of on-farm maintenance techs in conjunction with farm managers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Training and Coaching: Provide training and coaching to processes for consistent application, ensuring that technicians understand and follow established procedures.
  • Capital Expenditures: Identify facility capital expenditures and develop capital budgets for proposed projects, working closely with regional maintenance managers to prioritize and allocate resources.
  • Construction Management: Set up and oversee construction schedules, manage capital projects, and serve as a construction manager to ensure successful project execution.
  • Project Closure: Close projects in conjunction with regional maintenance managers, ensuring that all tasks are completed and project goals are met.
  • Key Expectations: Support key expectations and participate in facility staff meetings to maintain open communication and collaboration.


Qualifications


  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: General mechanical, electrical, welding, and fabrication experience desired, with certifications in these areas preferred.
  • Skills: Multi-task oriented, team player, problem solver, and communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to loud noises, dirty/dusty environments, hot and cold temperatures, and outdoor environments.
  • Availability: Available to work Monday through Friday, with some weekends and holiday work required.
  • Commitment: Committed to meeting and exceeding industry standards in care of our tools, supplies, equipment, and facility.

  • Animal Care: Meet all bio-security requirements as outlined by Animal Care policy/procedure.

  • Task Completion: Complete all other tasks as assigned.


Working Conditions

This position is located in the field, working at the entry gate of the Farm location. Field work involves exposure to dust, noise, odors, and livestock.



Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
