Senior Research Associate, Process Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee lentiviral vector production and characterization for immune cell transduction in the vector engineering core lab.
  • Develop and optimize methods to ensure high-titer lentiviral vector production, aligning with industry best practices.
  • Provide technical support for process development, both internally and with external partners, fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Manage technology transfer to external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), including preparation of protocols, test methods, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with external manufacturing and testing labs to ensure efficient workflows, driving project success.
  • Assist in setting up laboratory facilities, including equipment procurement and process development practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and maintain scientific documentation, including protocols and reports, to support knowledge sharing and decision-making.
  • Present data and findings to senior management, external partners, and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex information.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive project success, leveraging expertise and resources.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field (biotechnology, molecular biology, immunology, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience in viral vector production, T cell biology, and/or immunotherapy, with a strong understanding of industry trends.
  • Industry experience in cell therapy or process development is highly valued.
  • Skilled in mammalian cell culture, transient transfection, and viral vector production, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry, qPCR, and ddPCR is preferred, with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like JMP, Prism, and Microsoft Office, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
