Position Overview: Join a prominent Cardiovascular practice in central Michigan, focusing on inpatient post-operative care.
Role Responsibilities: We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our ICU inpatient post-operative surgical clinic. The selected provider will conduct morning rounds and typically conclude their duties by early afternoon. Responsibilities will also include clinic duties for 3-4 days each week following morning rounds. In the event of a consult, the NP/PA will manage that as well. The provider will collaborate closely with physicians, primarily caring for cardiac, cardiology, and vascular post-operative patients.
Team Environment: Our multidisciplinary team comprises surgeons, internists, podiatrists, interventional radiologists, nurses, and coordinators, providing comprehensive care around the clock for patients requiring emergent, short-term, and long-term treatment.
Training and Experience: - Training is available for candidates without direct cardiac ICU experience.
- ICU experience is preferred; however, candidates with Emergency Medicine experience will also be considered.
- Procedural skills are advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
On-Call Requirements: The position involves on-call duties for two weekends each month, with rounding responsibilities on those days.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with weekend on-call duties on a rotational basis.
Credentialing Requirements: Candidates must possess Certified BLS/ACLS Provider credentials, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Licensed Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan OR Licensed Physician Assistant through the State of Michigan.
Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, along with excellent benefits including health, dental, matching 403B, life insurance, vacation, relocation assistance, and much more.
