We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating front-end scanning equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Smile and greet customers, answer customer questions, and help resolve customer concerns in a polite and professional manner.
    • Follow company policies to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Order Fulfillment
    • Identify and shop customer orders in a timely fashion to ensure accurate and fresh orders.
  • Checkout Operations
    • Operate front-end scanning equipment and register, perform all related checkout procedures, and properly bag merchandise.
  • Communication
    • Contact customers by phone to address questions or concerns.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layout to answer customer questions.
  • Accuracy and Security
    • Maintain accuracy during transactions, ensuring customers are charged for all items and proper funds are collected.
    • Follow all store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
  • Sanitation and Maintenance
    • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Continuous Improvement
    • Cooperate with coworkers and superiors to ensure smooth department and store operations.
    • Responsible for continuously improving job performance.

Qualifications

  • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required.
