About the Role:
Maxar Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Simulation Analyst to join our team in the Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C./Maryland area. As a Simulation Analyst, you will be responsible for performing high-fidelity modeling and simulation of satellites, aircraft, and their ISR sensor suites for government and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instantiating complex vignettes and architecting studies and trades
- Developing tools for data analysis and performing detailed Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) checks of simulation input and results
- Presenting results to senior-level decision-makers and customers
- Updating existing models and scenarios to reflect unique capabilities and solutions being considered
- Working independently and in team environments
Requirements:
- US Citizenship Required
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field
- Working knowledge of astrodynamics, remote sensing, spacecraft design, aerospace systems operations, and complex systems integration
- Experience with design, development, and software implementation of complex mathematical algorithms
- Ability to develop standalone engineering tools/scripts via Python and/or Excel
- Strong problem-solving and thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $71,000.00 - $152,000.00 annually
