Maintenance Technician

Orion Homes is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in facility maintenance, plumbing, and electrical work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and appliances.
- Install new equipment and appliances as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local and state building codes.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and contractors to complete tasks.
- Read and follow manuals and other written instructions.
- Operate a motor vehicle to transport tools and materials between work sites.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED and three years of experience in facility maintenance.
- Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply written instructions for repair and maintenance of equipment.
- At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands and fingers to control objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
- The associate must be able to lift 50 pounds individually and up to 100 pounds with assistance devices.
