Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with diesel engines, electronics, and wiring systems. They will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting marine engine installations.

They will also lead small teams during remote repairs, work in a warehouse environment, and occasionally travel to other ports in Southeast Alaska.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting diesel, gas, and propane engines, generators, jets, shafts, and propellers.
  • Performing various tasks such as installing pumps, building brackets, and running fuel lines and wiring harnesses.
  • Lifting heavy equipment and working at heights, wearing personal protective equipment as required.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school degree or equivalent.
  • Diesel Mechanic technical training or 3+ years of in-depth diesel mechanic experience.
  • Experience working with electronics and wiring systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in boat plumbing, heavy equipment operation, welding, and industrial mechanics is desirable.
