Job Summary:
The Marina Dockhand is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests while assisting with marina services, quality control, and cash handling procedures. This role requires maintaining a clean and safe dock area, fueling boats, and securing guests' boats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fuel boats while maintaining a safe environment and following procedures.
- Pump out boats and maintain marina maintenance, such as cleaning, weeding, and removing trash.
- Provide excellent customer service and direct customer issues to supervisor or unit manager.
- Assist with docking of boats and identify items and corresponding costs for customers.
- Maintain cash register and contents, and report safety issues to management.
Requirements:
- Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- Strong customer service abilities and ability to recognize and communicate problems to management.
- CPR/First Aid Certification and ability to swim or wear a personal flotation device.
Working Conditions:
The Marina Dockhand will work in a constantly changing environment, frequently moving about on foot, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 25 lbs. Regularly working in an outdoor, hot, and damp environment, with temperature extremes and inclement weather.
