Behavioral Health Clinical Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Clinical Consultant to join our team at Piedmont Access to Health Services, Inc. (PATHS). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide integrated behavioral health services to patients, working closely with medical providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work and be licensed as an LCSW in Virginia. Strong clinical evaluation and crisis intervention skills are essential, as well as experience working with individuals with chronic medical conditions and concurrent mental health issues.
The selected candidate will work under the general supervision of PATHS' Behavioral Health Program Director, providing individual and group counseling sessions to address a wide range of behavioral health issues, including substance abuse. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to adults experiencing psychological or adjustment difficulties
- Conduct clinical evaluations to determine mental status and treatability of outpatient individuals
- Facilitate linkage with crisis/emergency services when needed
- Provide general behavioral health case management to outpatient individuals
- Respond to partner agencies' requests for clinical input, assessment, and education on behavioral health problems and issues
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
- An active LCSW license in Virginia
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their role in treating mental illness (preferred)
- Experience working with individuals with chronic medical conditions and concurrent mental health issues (preferred)
In addition to a competitive salary of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, professional development assistance, and vision insurance.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with relocation to Danville, VA required before starting work.
