Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host to join our team at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and Greet Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, offer a choice of seating, and escort them to their dining table.
  • Provide Excellent Service: Read, maintain, and make daily entries in the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Dining Room: Ensure the dining area is properly set up and maintained throughout the shift.
  • Assist with Service: Support servers and other staff as needed to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Manage Reservations and Special Functions: Receive records and make necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
  • Follow Sustainability Guidelines: Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous Customer Service Experience
Work Environment and Context

This role requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, and reaching. The work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
