Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

• Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
• Prepare the operating suite for procedures, including setting up and maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Monitor and maintain the PAR level of surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring timely replenishment as needed.
• Clean and sterilize all surgical instruments, adhering to strict protocols to prevent contamination.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Current Operating Room Technician Certification (preferred).
• Current BCLS Certification.

Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Basic computer knowledge.
