Job Summary:
Tequesta OPCO LLC is seeking a skilled Med Tech Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe administration of medications and providing exceptional care to our residents.

**Responsibilities:**
  • Administer medications safely, adhering to the six rights of medication administration.
  • Count and sign approved forms for narcotics, alerting management to discrepancies.
  • Order medications and treatments from pharmacies or notify responsible parties when supplies are low.
  • Notify management when medicine has not been received, and supply levels are critically low.
  • Verify medicines received accurately according to pharmacy labels and MARs, reporting discrepancies to pharmacies and management.
  • Store medications properly, keeping lotions, ointments, and liquids separate from oral medications.
  • Date vials/bottles at initial opening and follow pharmacy protocol on usage duration.
  • Inspect medications weekly to remove expired items.
  • Compare current MARs with new MARs during changeovers, notifying management of discrepancies.
  • Remove discontinued medications from carts and give them to management.
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, eating, etc.
  • Provide general nursing care, including vital signs, temperature, blood pressure, and weight measurements.
  • Document necessary information in daily logs as required, notifying Shift Supervisors and management of concerns.
  • Answer calls and assist residents with needs assigned.

Requirements:

* Must be a strong team player, adhering to confidentiality procedures to ensure HIPAA and house standards are met or exceeded.
* Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to speak and write effectively in English.
* Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions and work under stress and in emergency situations.
* Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $$$52,000 - $60,000, depending on experience.
