Cloud Data Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Amazon, supporting the Manufacturing Operations, Transportation Operations, and Reverse (MOTOR) organization in supply chain intelligence. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to work with large volumes of data, design complex technical systems, and make significant contributions to our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Data Infrastructure: Develop high-quality solutions for data engineering processes, leveraging various AWS services to improve accessibility, redundancy, data integrity, cost, and storage requirements.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Research/Applied Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Product/Program Managers to understand business and technical requirements and drive decision-making.
- Extract, Transform, and Load Data: Interface with other technology/data engineering teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources using AWS data technologies.
About the Team:
Our team provides data engineering and business intelligence engineering services to MOTOR, empowering operational teams to focus on operations by ensuring timely and accurate data. We're passionate about delivering exceptional results and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Basic Qualifications:
- Data Engineering Experience: 1+ years of experience in data engineering, including data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Technical Skills: Experience with query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell).
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
