Strength and Conditioning Coach

Venesco LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team. As a key member of our Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System, you will play a critical role in optimizing soldier readiness and performance in the Army's H2F System.

The H2F System is a comprehensive approach to soldier health and fitness, focusing on optimal physical and non-physical performance, reduced injury rates, and improved rehabilitation after injury. As a Strength and Conditioning Coach, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary H2F Performance Team to educate and train soldiers in beneficial approaches to readiness and care.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and administer effective strength and conditioning training programs to maximize physical performance and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
• Collaborate with the H2F Performance Team to educate and train soldiers in holistic, interdisciplinary approaches to readiness and care.
• Provide instruction on how to establish and build a cohesive team, enhancing readiness and delivering strength and conditioning training with emphasis on injury prevention methods and tactics.
• Work with unit leaders to promote the best approaches to unit readiness and provide guidance on physical strength and conditioning and injury prevention.
• Participate in in-person or virtual pre-implementation planning meetings with the H2F Performance Team to prepare strength and conditioning specific plans based on unit assessments.
• Disseminate prerequisite information and tasks for unit leaders and the H2F Performance Team, including pre-briefs, unit data analysis, content verification, and BDE culture/history review.
• Attend implementation site visits with the H2F Performance Team to deliver standardized H2F implementation plans and optimize the H2F Performance Team's execution within the framework of the unit's training/operational schedule, battle rhythm, and culture.
• Participate in post-implementation meetings with the H2F Performance Team to reinforce, supplement, and clarify H2F System standards and practices.

Requirements:

• Possess a Master's degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
• Possess a passing score from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
• NSCA Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) designation preferred.
• Five years of relevant SCC work experience with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Collegiate, Olympic, and/or professional sports in the accompanying, respective settings.
• Previous experience within the military environment preferred.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with soldiers, staff, and other SCCs.
• Ability to teach effectively in an indoor classroom and field training setting, presenting both standardized instruction and creative workshops.
• Experience in developing course content of similar scope and complexity.
• Experience and ability to obtain the desired learning outcomes through delivery of well-facilitated and engaging instruction.
• Interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that they can relate to a variety of soldiers from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to operate a personal or Government computer utilizing Microsoft applications, Word, Excel, MS Teams.
• Capable of properly lifting and manipulating loads or weights up to 45 pounds and capable of meeting physical demands of training in all types of weather with soldiers, including the ability to hike over rough terrain, function in austere environments to observe soldier training evolutions, and to train, educate, coach, and mentor.
• Participate in Government-based education and in-service training as mandated by the local installation.
• Participate in continuing education programs to meet the requirements for their license or certification renewals.
• Maintain current certification/licensing requirements as required by the contract.
• Not have been convicted of a felony.
