Job Overview

The Barista is a key role in our Starbucks locations, responsible for selling and creating Starbucks coffee beverages while providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Starbucks products and services
  • Follow company standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Provide excellent customer service through product knowledge and Magic Selling skills
  • Educate and serve customers on our food and beverage offerings
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including verifying completion with the Manager on Duty
  • Maintain PAR stock levels and product presentations
  • Produce and present freshly prepared products while meeting speed of service standards
  • Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards
  • Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress code

Qualifications and Competencies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • No education or experience required
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours

Essential Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping
  • Frequent use of computers and technology
  • Frequent lifting and moving up to 25lbs
