The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential communities. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing assigned maintenance work orders, performing general maintenance and repair of appliances, buildings, and equipment, and providing exceptional customer service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance tasks related to HVAC, equipment, and maintenance systems.
- Complete make-ready tasks per the company's change of occupancy management checklist prior to the resident's move-in.
- Respond to and complete assigned work orders in a professional, timely manner while adhering to the company's exceptional living customer service standards.
- Adhere to sound safety and housekeeping practices following our ZERO Harm journey plan.
- Participate in on-call, emergency after-hours rotation as scheduled by management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Preference will be given to technical school trainings or certifications.
- Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance-related experience. Multifamily/student housing property maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of residential property facilities management.
- EPA Type 1, Type 2, and/or Universal Certified preferred. CPO Certified preferred.
- Must be available for night/weekend emergency call duty.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and general use of a smartphone. Experience with property management software preferred.
- Candidates should be willing to obtain Certified Apartment Service Technician (American National Standards Institute) professional designation within one year of hire.
- Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license and safe driving record are required.

Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, machinery, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Typical Work Conditions: Work is performed in a maintenance/machinery environment within a residential community. Employee frequently interacts directly with other staff members, university partners, vendors, and residents during the workday.
