Overview: This role involves a balanced focus on SharePoint and an internal archival/records management system (AMMS). We seek a candidate with a diverse skill set. Proficiency in C# .NET is essential, along with strong front-end SharePoint capabilities (such as page embedding and access points). The candidate should also be adept at crafting and executing complex SQL queries for data retrieval. Experience with on-premises applications is necessary, as the current system operates in that environment. Familiarity with alternative applications like Salesforce and CaseBook is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain archival and records management applications utilizing technologies such as .NET, C#, VB, PowerShell, JavaScript, SQL Server 2016 (or newer), and PostgreSQL.
  • Implement new functionalities and enhance existing code for improved performance and maintainability.
  • Design and develop SharePoint solutions tailored to meet organizational requirements.
  • Customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows using various development tools.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation for SharePoint solutions and performance monitoring procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and implement scalable solutions.
  • Establish and maintain performance tuning strategies, including tracking performance metrics and conducting regular testing.
  • Manage version control and tracking using GitHub.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in web application development across Microsoft and Linux platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in .NET, C#, VB, PowerShell, JavaScript, SQL Server 2016 (or newer), and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in developing and integrating new functionalities within archival and records management applications.
  • Proven analytical experience working with relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server for application development and data extraction.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet applications and Microsoft query tools.
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies such as Office 365, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • Strong grasp of SharePoint frameworks and WSS (2.0 and 3.0), both on-premises and in Office 365.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining database schemas and server-side applications.
  • Skilled in customizing SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows using SharePoint Designer and other tools.
  • Proficient in developing and deploying custom web parts, features, and applications using SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Ability to integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.
  • Experience in backend development tasks, including querying SharePoint objects and creating workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to recommend enhancements for quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive reports containing analyses and recommendations.
  • Experience with Government-mandated 508 compliance and web design best practices.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM) can be obtained within 6 months post-hire.
