Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Trainer to join our team at Acts Retirement-Life Communities. As a Fitness Trainer, you will be responsible for motivating and encouraging participants to reach their full potential in terms of fitness and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual and group exercise programs and recreational activities
  • Support the Fitness Director in coordinating all events of the fitness and recreational programs
  • Maintain standards of safety and manage quality improvement by updating programming to stay current with industry trends
  • Collaborate with team members to provide a comprehensive fitness experience for residents
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, allied health sciences, or related human services field
  • Minimum of two years' experience in senior living personal training or group exercise instruction
  • Current accredited certificate from certifying organizations ACE or ACSM and AEA (if no certification, must be enrolled by the sixth month of employment and completed within one year after)
  • CPR and AED certification along with the ability to obtain a Lifeguard and Pool Operator certification, if needed
