Role Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) operates within the ANA scope of practice, employing the nursing process to deliver professional care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging patients while integrating patient-family centered care principles. The RN collaborates with the Nurse Leader to ensure quality care in alignment with organizational policies and recognizes the significance of nursing interventions and patient/family partnerships on health outcomes. The RN also engages with patients and families to establish care plans and develop educational strategies, ensuring proper documentation in health records.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within five years for new graduates or nurses with less than one year of experience.
- Graduates from non-accredited nursing programs must have a minimum of one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role, along with successful completion of the NCLEX exam.
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is expected within six months of hire, with additional certifications required within specified timeframes.
- Specialty certification is highly recommended within two years.
- Experience as an RN is preferred; new graduates may be considered.
Work Schedule
This position is full-time, primarily during night shifts, with a weekly schedule of 36 hours. Flexibility in workdays and weekend availability is required.
