Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our dynamic team at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. This role involves providing exceptional care across various Intensive Care Units (ICUs).

Certification Requirements
  • Certification prerequisites are detailed in the unit descriptions available on the facility's profile page.
  • Temporary certificates of completion are acceptable for a period of up to one month until the official card is issued.
Job Responsibilities
  • Flexibility to float between multiple ICUs, including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units.
  • We require experienced, independent nurses who can adapt to different ICU environments.
  • In case of ICU needs, nurses may be required to assist on general nursing floors.
  • The nursing office encompasses units such as Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, and COVID.
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio: 2:1 in ICUs for all shifts.
  • When floating to inpatient floors, the ratio will not exceed 1:3.
  • Nurses may also be asked to support non-critical care units if ICU census is low, and potentially serve as patient sitters when necessary.
  • Availability for every other weekend is mandatory.
Job Requirements
  • Specific CVICU experience is not a prerequisite.
  • Preferred Skills: Cardiac Skill Set including Swans-hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, Vasoactive drips, CRRT.
  • Certifications: BCLS and ACLS are required.
  • Additional certifications such as Chemo, CCRN, NIH, ONS, TNCC, CPI are preferred.
  • Essential skills include Vents, IV start, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation.
  • Experience with Triage, ICP, PA lines, and Level 1 Trauma is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
  • First-time travelers will not be considered.
Schedule Information

Availability for every other weekend is essential.

Unit Specific Information

This position requires floating to various ICUs, including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units. Specific CVICU experience is not necessary.
