As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing aquatic activities and recreation programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with diverse skills, abilities, and interests, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide a safe and supportive environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement recreational activities that meet the needs and interests of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance recreational opportunities.
- Assist in the coordination of special events and programs.
- Provide support and guidance to staff members as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field.
- Two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
