Key Responsibilities:

The MDS Coordinator - RN collaborates closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), Clinical Reimbursement Manager (CRM), and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), along with all related processes. Under the guidance of the DON or CRM, the Coordinator ensures that assessments are completed within the federally mandated timelines and in accordance with company policies.

The role includes managing the overall resident assessment process and tracking all Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid documentation to guarantee optimal reimbursement for services rendered. Additionally, the Coordinator assists in coordinating resident care planning processes as directed by the DON or CRM.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Must have graduated from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in an MDS or Clinical Reimbursement Nurse role is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications are mandatory. First Aid certification is required or must be obtained.

  • Knowledgeable about regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster effective relationships in a team-oriented setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Displays sensitivity to the needs of older adults and a passion for working with the senior population.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is USD $56.84 per hour.
