Position Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Operations Supervisor is accountable for the overall performance and strategic direction of the branch's operations, financial management, and customer service initiatives. This role involves overseeing and guiding branch personnel, collaborating closely with the Sales Team to achieve optimal customer satisfaction and meet financial objectives.

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the rental and service sector for commercial, industrial, or oilfield equipment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Availability to work a schedule from 7 AM to 5 PM, with additional hours as required by customer demands.
  • A valid Driver's License is essential, along with the ability to travel as necessary.
  • Proven experience in leading teams to successfully complete assigned projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and exceptional problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary; experience with RentalMan software is advantageous.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Oversees the management of personnel and operations related to the coordination of all rental equipment and accessories, including inventory management, accounting, delivery, service, and collection.
  • Fosters relationships with clients to ensure their expectations are not only met but exceeded, maintaining goodwill for future engagements.
  • Upholds professional and ethical business relationships with all clients and staff, adhering to established company policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a liaison between the branch and corporate departments, such as Safety and Human Resources, ensuring compliance with necessary regulations.
  • Manages financial aspects including costs, revenues, profit and loss statements, and branch budgets to achieve targeted financial goals.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and retention of branch personnel, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitors market competition and formulates strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develops plans for the efficient utilization of resources, including materials, personnel, and equipment.
  • Creates and maintains reports, presentations, and forecasts related to branch performance, advising management on budgetary and marketing strategies.
  • Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
